Seriously, I found out that free artificial intelligence has evolved a lot. It’s no longer that limited thing it used to be, you know? Now there are serious tools that anyone can use without spending anything.

I started testing ChatGPT in the free version, and honestly, just with that you can do a lot. It writes text, generates basic images, programs—everything. The only limitation is that there’s a message limit, but once it resets, you can use a lighter version that works well. Google Gemini is also extremely good, especially if you already use Gmail and Drive. It integrates everything properly and pulls web data in real time, which is very useful for research.

For people who work with video, Lumen5 is kind of magical. You drop a text in there and it turns it into a video ready for social media. There’s a limit on the number of videos in the free plan, but you can start. Descript is also great if you make podcasts or videos, because it edits through the text itself.

If you work with PDFs or need to study, ChatPDF and SciSpace handle that. ChatPDF lets you chat with the document, like asking direct questions. SciSpace is more focused on scientific articles and theses, which makes it very useful for that.

In terms of images, there’s NightCafe, which gives daily credits to generate images in different styles. O Esta Pessoa Não Existe is a bit creepy, but it’s useful—it generates photos of people that don’t really exist. Midjourney doesn’t have a free option anymore; it’s paid only.

DeepSeek is also on the trend, very fast and efficient for analysis and mathematical reasoning. I use it a lot when I need more in-depth explanation.

The truth is that by combining ChatGPT Plus, Google Gemini, and DeepSeek, you cover almost everything for text. For images, ChatGPT and NightCafe already do the job. For video, Lumen5 and Descript complete it. In other words, you can create a lot of high-quality content without spending a cent. Anyone can now do things that used to be done only by expensive agencies. It’s kind of insane when you stop to think about it.
