I was looking to start trading but with little capital and found that there are several trading apps that let you start with $20 or $50. Honestly, it has changed the game of investing; you no longer need to be a millionaire to get in.
What surprised me the most is that most of these platforms have zero commissions and fairly tight spreads. Mitrade seems to be the most accessible for beginners, with a minimum deposit of just $20 and they give you $50,000 virtual to practice risk-free. It has integrated TradingView charts, which is pretty good.
If you already have experience, there are other more powerful options. AvaTrade allows you to trade with MetaTrader 4 and 5, Plus500 has about 2,800 different CFDs, and XM is known for very high leverage, up to 1000x (but watch out, very risky). eToro has something different called copy trading, where you directly copy what successful investors do.
The thing is, each trading app has its own vibe. Some have minimum deposits around $100, others as low as $5. Commissions vary; some charge for inactivity. Before putting in real money, you should try the demo accounts that all of them offer.
Is anyone else here trying out any of these? I’d like to know which one seemed best for starting small.
