I just spent about an hour researching applications for trading with little money because honestly I’m tired of hearing that you need thousands to start. And the truth is, that’s no longer the case; there are several pretty decent options.

MyTrade caught my attention because the interface is clean, almost too simple, but that’s okay if what you want is to get in quickly without getting lost in a thousand buttons. You can start with $20 USD, which is ridiculously low. They have integrated TradingView charts and you can trade stocks, forex, gold, Bitcoin from a single account. Honestly, for someone just starting out, these trading apps are quite accessible.

Then there’s AvaTrade, which is more for those who already know what they’re doing. It has over 1200 assets and lets you choose between retail and professional accounts if you want more leverage. It supports MetaTrader 4 and 5, so if you’re one of those who live on those terminals, this is your thing.

Plus500 is interesting because it has about 2800 different CFDs, including futures and those new prediction markets they launched. It’s more powerful, but also requires you to know what you’re doing. XM is similar but with more aggressive leverage, up to 1000x, so obviously it’s for profiles that understand risk.

And there’s eToro, which is the special case. Its thing is copy trading, basically copying what experienced traders do, period. For beginners who want to learn without overthinking, it works well.

What surprised me is that all these trading apps have demo accounts, low spreads, and don’t charge commissions for trading. The real differences are in the minimum deposit, the variety of assets, and how complicated the platform is.

If you’re a beginner, MiTrade is the most straightforward. If you already have experience, AvaTrade or XM give you more tools. Plus500 if you want futures. eToro if you prefer copying others. But watch out, all these trading apps involve risk, so don’t put in money you can’t afford to lose. That’s the important thing.
