Mars Finance News: THORChain has released an update on the hacking incident on the X platform. Preliminary evidence suggests that a node recently added to the network may have been controlled by a malicious actor, who exploited the GG20 TSS vulnerability to obtain vault participant key information, ultimately reconstructing the vault private key and executing unauthorized withdrawal transactions. Currently, multiple THORChain nodes have been shut down, and the network is in a paused state. It is expected that RUNE transfers can be resumed in about 12 hours, but the specific situation depends on node decisions. Functions such as trading, liquidity provider operations, and signing are still unavailable. Full network functionality is expected to take several days to restore. A recovery plan is under discussion, which may include reducing the staked amount of affected nodes and other remedial measures proposed by the community.
