Recently, I’ve been dragged back into doing social mining again—there’s a whole set of points, badges, and identity cards. To put it plainly, it’s using your time to boost a project’s daily active users. I’ve been hanging around cross-chain bridges for so long that I’ve seen too many fantasies like, “Once I get the xx badge, the airdrops will take off.” In the end, either the rules change, or the botters get cut off across the board, leaving you there replaying in your head whether you even count as a person.

What’s even funnier is that outside, the funding rates are all extreme. In the group, people are arguing about whether to reverse things or keep squeezing the bubble. Over here, I’m still hesitating about whether to reply to two more tweets… Forget it—badges can’t shield me from a black swan. My principle right now is just one: if something can be automated, never do it manually; if there’s no need to do tasks, don’t. Even if it means earning less, don’t hollow yourself out until you’re left with only “identity.” That’s it for now.
