Hey, I’m seeing a lot of people starting to invest now, and there’s always that question: what is really the best investment brokerage for beginners? Honestly, in 2026, the market is very different from what it was a few years ago.

The financial landscape here in Brazil is changing quite a lot. The Selic should fall from 15% to something around 12% by the end of the year, and that’s attracting a lot of foreign investors. Just in January, more than R$26 billion in foreign capital entered the stock market. Ibovespa is soaring, and analysts are talking about 180,000 and 240,000 points in the coming years. For people who are getting in now, it’s like being at the beginning of a new cycle.

But then comes the question: which is the best investment brokerage to choose? It depends a lot on what you want to do. If you want something more traditional and safe, like Tesouro Direto and fixed income, BB Investimentos is very accessible because you already have an account at the bank. Now, if you want more variety and sophistication, XP is on another level—stocks, ETFs, international assets, even cryptocurrencies. Toro is interesting if you want to start with low costs, especially for stocks (zero brokerage). People from Nubank who want to invest use Nu Invest, which is very practical.

There’s also Clear, which is modern and has no fees. BTG Pactual Digital for those who want something more premium. And Órama, which offers an integrated income tax calculator. Each one has its own advantage.

Honestly, I think the best investment brokerage for a beginner doesn’t have a single answer. It depends on whether you want something simple or with more features, whether you’re with Nubank or Banco do Brasil, whether you want day trading or long-term investing. The important thing is that all the ones I listed have good reputations, reliable platforms, and competitive costs.

My tip: before choosing, think about what you really want to invest in and what your profile is. Then test the platform. Most let you practice with virtual money before putting in real money. It makes a difference when it’s time to start for real.
