Tornado Cash Draws Scrutiny in Senate CLARITY Act Markup
Tornado Cash came under renewed scrutiny during the U.S. Senate Banking Committee’s markup session for the CLARITY Act. Eleanor Terrett said Elizabeth Warren called the bill a “Tornado problem” and argued it does not go far enough on illicit finance. Terrett said Republican lawmakers argued the bill can address those concerns.
