I find that I can't sleep not so much because of how much I've earned, but because that little floating loss keeps spinning in my mind.
Floating profit, to put it simply, is "I can take it out at any time," but floating loss turns into "Did I do something wrong?" "Should I add more to recover," and I end up reviewing my trades until dawn...
Loss aversion is really annoying.
Especially recently, with narratives around modularization, DeFi layers, developers look excited, users look confused.
I see many projects just take the opportunity to package token incentives as new technology, but it's really the old tricks: making you bear the volatility, while they take the narrative premium.
Losing a bit makes it even harder to sleep because you know this thing might not be worth staying up all night for.
My current "fix" is to patch things up, small repairs: set position limits, close out when losses hit a certain line, don't use "wait and see" as a strategy.
For now, this is enough to let me sleep.
