OpenAI and Plaid build partnership to leverage ChatGPT for personalized financial advisory services
Golden Finance reports that on May 16th, OpenAI is collaborating with Plaid Inc. to allow ChatGPT users to receive personalized financial advice based on shared financial data with technology companies.
Plaid’s access to consumer financial data will enable ChatGPT to offer a wide range of suggestions, such as “automatic savings,” reducing takeout orders to once a week, which credit card to prioritize paying off, and the specific amount to repay.
Currently, ChatGPT’s access to financial accounts is limited to “read-only,” and it still lacks comprehensive knowledge of consumers’ financial situations (such as home equity).
