I've been observing Chinese cryptocurrencies for a while, and honestly, there are several projects worth keeping on your radar. They are not the most well-known globally, but they have interesting fundamentals worth following.
Let's start with NEO, which you've probably heard called China's Ethereum. It is currently trading around $3 with a 5.36% drop in 24 hours. The interesting part here is its focus on building an intelligent digital economy through smart contracts and verified digital identity. If you're looking for Chinese cryptocurrencies with a purpose beyond speculation, NEO offers a robust ecosystem for DApps.
Next is Conflux, which operates with a fairly innovative Tree-Graph mechanism. Its token CFX is at $0.07 (down 8.19% today), and what's relevant is that it is one of the few Chinese blockchain projects that has received official approval within the country. It focuses on Web3, digital identity, and collaborations with government agencies, giving it some institutional legitimacy.
VeChain is another Chinese project that connects blockchain with real supply chains. VET is at $0.01 with -5.73% in 24h. What attracts me to this is its practical application: tracking products from origin to consumer in industries like fashion, automotive, and food. It’s not just a token; it’s a tangible solution.
Ontology deserves special mention because it is dedicated to decentralized digital identity and secure data management. ONT is trading at $0.06 (-6.24%). For companies seeking identity verification systems without intermediaries, this project offers an interesting alternative within the Chinese cryptocurrency ecosystem.
Finally, QTUM combines the best of both worlds: Bitcoin's security with Ethereum's programmability. It is at $0.93 (-5.81% today). It’s a good option if you’re looking for flexibility to develop decentralized applications with good performance.
What I notice is that most of these Chinese cryptocurrencies are in the red today, but that could be an opportunity depending on your strategy. If you're interested in exploring these projects further, you can review their charts and data on Gate to make a more informed decision.
