Trump: China did not proceed with purchasing NVIDIA's H200 chips despite U.S. approval to sell them

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that China did not proceed with buying NVIDIA's H200 chips, despite the United States' approval to sell them.

Trump explained that Beijing chose not to purchase as it seeks to develop its local technologies and reduce reliance on American companies in the artificial intelligence and semiconductor sectors.

The statements came after the U.S.-China summit ended without announcing a major tech deal, which pressured the stocks of chip manufacturing companies worldwide amid ongoing technological tensions between Washington and Beijing.
