People who trade and people who do business require two completely different personality traits. Businesspeople need to learn how to bluff, create a persona for themselves, and brainwash clients; these are necessary methods of commercial operation. But traders are the exact opposite—you must be 100% honest with yourself, completely strip away all human weaknesses, greed, fear, emotional reactions, and the instincts to seek profit and avoid harm. Only when you have stripped all these things from yourself do you have the qualification to sit at the trading desk.
