Private equity markets in Europe and the U.S. are quite turbulent, and financial institutions have begun to put related investments on hold. Citing sources, the Financial Times reported that HSBC (00005) planned to invest $4 billion (about HKD 31.2 billion) last mid-year to develop its private credit fund business, but so far has not started injecting funds, and currently has no intention of rolling out the above plan.
