Recently, people keep asking: should I go on the mainnet or move to L2? Honestly, it's like choosing coffee—if you want it pure and authentic, it’s expensive; if you want a cheaper alternative, pick a store-brand version. When the mainnet gas fees are high, I usually do only two things: large transactions, slow and steady, confirm again and again; for other daily transfers and interactions, I use L2 for a smoother experience, and it’s easier to keep a calm mindset. The compromise is to move “high-frequency, small-amount” transactions to L2, and keep the mainnet for “error-proof, preferably no rollbacks.” Recently, before and after that chain’s upgrade/maintenance, the group has been guessing whether projects will migrate. I just want to say, don’t rush to pick a side—first see if the bridge and wallet support is stable. Don’t impulsively save on gas, only to end up doubling your time costs, which is really stressful. Anyway, I currently see it as: the mainnet is my safe deposit box, and L2 is my small change wallet. That’s how I roll for now.
