$CGPT Funding Rate -0.1082% — Are the shorts paying up and still refusing to let go?

Seeing the $CGPT funding rate at -0.1082% made me laugh. Shorts are paying a 0.1% cost every 8 hours—over 0.3% in a day. Holding it for a week and you’re down more than 2% just in position-holding costs.

Even more outrageous: with a position value of 5M U, the market maker has at least 1M U of principal sunk into it. With a market maker of this size, why not just lift the price and pull liquidity—what’s the point of coming here to pump volume and climb the leaderboard?

Go long at the current price of 0.04269, set your stop loss at 0.036286 (15% room), and look for 0.055497. The move is already +22.7%. Aggressive traders can chase at the current price; more conservative traders should wait for a 5% pullback before entering.

The longer the shorts hold on, the more they lose to the funding rate—and time is completely on the other side.

Keep your position size within 5%. For coins with this kind of deep negative funding rate, either quickly push the price up or go sideways to grind the shorts—don’t over-leverage and bet big.
