Recently, it's again airdrop season. Task platforms are simultaneously anti-witch and implementing point systems. The grab-and-go traders are scrambling as if they're clocking in for work... As someone who just uses cross-chain bridges, it makes my scalp tingle: you go to L2 to save on gas, but the total cost of one round trip—fees + waiting + mental toll—isn't really much less, and there's also the black swan shadow of "will the bridge fail."
My current compromise is quite cautious: small daily interactions on L2, but for long-term funds or large settlements, I return to the mainnet, preferring to spend a bit more on gas for peace of mind while sleeping. As for those who keep hopping back and forth just for points, I want to join in, but thinking about bridge and contract risks... never mind. Not going to talk about it now; anyway, losing money is always on my own.
