I just came across an interesting ranking by CEOWORLD Magazine about the wealthiest cities in the world. Tokyo turned out to be the host of the first place with a GDP of $2.55 trillion. That's quite impressive, as it surpassed New York, which has $2.49 trillion.

Following them is Los Angeles with $1.62 trillion. Further down the ranking are London, Seoul, Paris, Chicago, and Osaka. Interestingly, the top ten cities generate about one-third of the world's GDP.

The richest city in the world turned out to be the capital of Japan, showing how dominant its economy is on the global stage. I wonder what these numbers will look like in a few years.
