Recently, there’s been a bunch of social mining, points, badges, identity stuff, and it looks pretty lively, but my first reaction isn’t “go for it,” it’s more like: who will ultimately be able to cash out this stuff, and who’s calling the shots? Once permissions are open in the contract, rules can be changed at any time; when the team wallet moves, no matter how many points you have, they could just turn into souvenirs. Honestly, time is also a cost—don’t drain yourself every day just for a badge.

I’ve seen a lot of new L1/L2 incentives to boost TVL, and veteran users complain that “mining, selling” isn’t without reason: you might think you’re building reputation, but they could be building exit liquidity. Personally, I keep it simple—only pay attention to things that are clearly written into the contract and where I can see lock-up periods and permission restrictions; otherwise, I just treat it as a passing taskbar… Never mind, I won’t talk about it anymore. Today I need to check a few project admin keys again.
