Just caught something wild that's been circulating around the crypto community. You know those Epstein documents that dropped recently? Everyone was focused on the obvious celebrity gossip at first, but apparently there's a whole section of emails related to the crypto space that's getting way less attention. And honestly, some of this stuff is pretty intriguing if you think about it.
So here's where it gets interesting. There's this 2016 email where Epstein was pitching the Saudi Royal Court and Abu Dhabi about creating their own digital currency. In that email, he casually drops something like: 'I've already connected with some Bitcoin founders and they're very interested.' Notice the wording - 'some', 'they' - which got people speculating that Satoshi Nakamoto might actually be a group rather than one person. But that's not even the craziest part. If Epstein was in direct contact with them, that implies they actually met in person, right? You don't just casually know crypto founders without some real-world connection.
Then there's this second email from June 2011 when Bitcoin was hitting its yearly peak. Epstein apparently replied to someone saying Bitcoin was brilliant but had serious flaws. Here's the thing though - the US redacted the sender's name on this one, which is suspicious since most other emails in the dump aren't redacted. After 2013 he started actively recommending Bitcoin to everyone, even got the MicroStrategy founder involved, and started investing in various web3 projects. He was clearly influenced by someone, and the timing suggests it could've been the Satoshi Nakamoto team itself.
Obviously this is all speculation at this point, but it's the kind of thing that makes you wonder. The betting odds on Polymarket for the Satoshi Nakamoto wallet activating in 2026 actually spiked after this came out. Whether any of this leads somewhere or just stays internet lore, who knows. But if there really was a connection there, it raises questions about what other powerful people might actually know about who's behind Bitcoin. What's your take on this - think we'll ever get real confirmation?
