Guys, have you ever gone through that annoying KYC process? Well, I decided to do it on Athene Network and thought it was important to share how it works. Basically, what KYC is, is an identity verification procedure that every serious platform does. It’s not just bureaucracy, there’s a reason.
Here’s how it works: you create an account, then go to settings and look for the KYC section. Then comes the work — you need to send a document (passport, ID card, driver’s license) and proof of address, like a utility bill or something similar. After that, there’s the selfie, which is a bit embarrassing but part of the process.
What is KYC in the end? It’s basically security and compliance. It protects the platform against fraud and meets legal requirements. Without it, you can’t access all the features properly.
Important tip: pay attention to the lighting of the selfie and make sure the documents are legible and valid. I’ve seen people having to redo it because the photo turned out bad. The process usually takes from a few hours to a few days, depending on their queue.
Overall, it’s a necessary inconvenience. Those who have gone through it know that after approval, everything becomes smoother. Do you have experience with KYC on other platforms? How was it?
