I recently realized that I am quite typical: when my account shows a paper profit, I don't really feel anything, and I’m even too lazy to check; once I see a paper loss, even if it’s not enough to be penalized or confiscated, my mind automatically starts reviewing, and before bed I keep thinking "Should I sell a little now"... To put it simply, losses are more like an alarm than gains; it’s just fluctuations, but my heartbeat jumps to conclusions first.

If I had diversified my position a bit more at the time, and written down the acceptable loss on paper beforehand, I probably wouldn’t have stayed up in the middle of the night staring at the candlestick charts and torturing myself. But people are like that—gains are taken for granted as “what should be,” while losses feel like they’ve been stolen.

Lately, hardware wallets have been out of stock, phishing links are rampant again, which actually made me more alert: what really affects my sleep isn’t the red and green of prices, but whether my assets are truly safe, and whether I might accidentally click the wrong thing someday. First, secure the foundation of safety, and the remaining fluctuations... let them be. As long as the nodes stay online, I can still take a nap.
