So I've been watching the meme coin space pretty closely lately, and there's this interesting pattern I keep seeing. My buddy actually made some solid gains on one of these earlier, which got me thinking about what might actually have legs to hit that $1 mark we all keep talking about. The thing is, most meme coins that are already established like Dogwifhat have already had their major runs - WIF hit almost $5 back in 2024, now it's sitting around $0.21. Fartcoin had a wild spike to $2.74 in early 2025, but it's also cooled down to $0.21. Both still have decent trading volume, but the easy money's probably already been made there. What's been catching my attention though is watching the early-stage projects. There's this one called Dawgz AI that's still in presale at $0.00313. I know, I know - presale coins are risky, but the structure actually seems different. They've already raised over $2.6 million, which suggests people are actually paying attention. The community supposedly voted on the mascot with 30,000 participants, which is a decent sign of engagement. Here's what makes it interesting: if something like this actually manages to reach that next crypto to hit $1 territory, you're talking about serious upside from these levels. But that's a big if. The presale tokens have 30% of supply set aside, so early buyers at least get in before exchange listing. I'm not saying it's guaranteed - meme coins are basically gambling with better odds than a casino. But the next crypto to hit $1 could definitely come from something still in early stages like this rather than something that's already pumped. The real question is timing and community staying power. Dogwifhat and Fartcoin both had their moments, but the next crypto to hit $1 might be something most people haven't even heard of yet. That's usually how these things work anyway - you catch them early or you're just chasing the pump. I'm keeping alerts on a few of these, but I'm definitely not throwing life savings at presale tokens. The upside is there if you pick right, but the downside exists too. If you're looking at what could potentially be the next crypto to hit $1, you've gotta do your own research and only risk what you can actually afford to lose.
