I just saw that Jack Altman joined Benchmark as a general partner. Like, a couple of years ago he went off to do his own thing with Alt Capital, and now he's ending up joining one of the biggest VC firms. Quite an interesting move, honestly.
Supposedly it's to strengthen their investment capabilities, but I still wonder what this means for Alt Capital. Jack Altman went from being independent to being part of Benchmark's structure. A pretty significant change in direction in a short amount of time.
