Deep Tide TechFlow News, May 15, According to CoinDesk, in the dispute over frozen crypto assets on Arbitrum, lawyer Charles Gerstein, who is representing the related litigation, has now requested the Manhattan Federal Court to order Tether to transfer approximately 344,149,759 frozen USDT. The two Tron wallet addresses associated with these assets have been identified by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) as being connected to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran. The plaintiff states that Tether has frozen the relevant tokens, and therefore, an equivalent amount of USDT can be reissued to a wallet controlled by its lawyers to settle long-standing terrorism-related judgment debts.
