Recently, many people have been discussing this car influencer online. He recommended an investment plan on his IG stories, offering a 2% monthly interest rate, 24% annually, and guaranteed principal. At first glance, it seems a bit suspicious. As a result, netizens exposed that this is basically a Ponzi scheme, sparking quite a bit of discussion.
I just found out that his story is quite complicated. His real name is Yang Zhenglun. He was the sole survivor of the Zhongli shooting incident in 2017, which also involved a sports betting website at the time. Later, he switched to running a car channel, with over 100k subscribers, which seems pretty successful. But he previously mentioned in interviews that he made over 100k TWD from trading cryptocurrencies and had also experienced the pitfalls of a Ponzi scheme.
Now he's promoting this kind of investment plan again, which really makes people a bit confused. Some netizens even questioned whether this violates banking laws. However, so far, no victims have come forward, and the police haven't taken any action. If you see suspicious investment information, you can report it using the government’s scam reporting app for official verification. What do you all think about this?
