Recently, everyone has been talking about modularization and the DA layer narrative, with terms flying back and forth. Developers are excited, but users (including myself) are completely confused... I later forced myself to focus on one main thread: When does my swap actually count as a "real transaction," and whether it can be front-run in the process. Basically, there are three things: Is there a place where everyone can verify the data (otherwise, even if you tell me it's bundled, I can't verify it), who is in line (the ordering process is most prone to manipulation), and how long before it fails (finality—don't want it to sometimes succeed and sometimes fail). I need a reminder: don’t get carried away by jargon, first check if the chain/rollup you're using can provide "proof of verifiability," then look at slippage and routing; otherwise, even a delicious noodle can turn out undercooked.
