Lately there's been more talk about secondary market royalties, basically: creators want stable cash flow, traders want cheaper and more free. I used to take sides, but now I’m a bit indifferent… It feels like everyone is using “support creators” as a slogan, but in reality, it’s more about whether they can pay less on their own transactions.

Lowering my expectations made me feel more relaxed: royalties probably shouldn’t be expected to “automatically execute forever,” it’s more like a combination of community sentiment and platform rules—if the platform changes its stance one day, it’s gone. Anyway, when I look at projects, I care more about whether creators can sustain themselves (memberships, airdrops, offline events, collaborations, etc.), rather than relying solely on secondary sales commissions.

And recently, before and after the main public chain upgrade/maintenance, everyone’s guessing whether the ecosystem will migrate. I’m also watching some less popular addresses for movement: whether they migrate or not actually depends on “who’s willing to pay the cost,” which is quite similar to the royalty dispute—ultimately, it’s the real-world ledger that speaks. That’s all for now, I’ll keep digging into small corners.
