Golden Melody Awards 2026》Ao and Mountain receive their first nominations for the first time, having previously written songs to pay tribute to the late blockchain investigator Chen Meihui

Duo duo Ao and Mountain make their first-ever nomination at the 2026 Golden Melody Awards with Hidden Album. The album includes the single “Miffy,” paying tribute to the late blockchain investigator Chen Mei-hui’s selfless dedication. In addition, this year’s Golden Melody Awards also clearly bans the participation of fully AI-generated music.

Golden Melody Awards Nomination List Revealed: Ao and Mountain First Nominated

The nomination list for the 37th Golden Melody Awards in 2026 was announced yesterday (5/13). Last year, the duo Ao and Mountain (Our Shame), who released the single “Miffy” as a tribute to the late blockchain investigator Chen Mei-hui, earned nominations this year for Best Vocal Group and Best Album Packaging Design with their new album Hidden Album.

Ao and Mountain released their first album Modern Problem in 2022. The single “Richard,” which portrays 29-year-old airport worker Richard Russell stealing a plane and crashing it, has attracted millions of plays. Hidden Album, released in 2025, is their second album.

About being nominated for the Golden Melody Awards, Ao and Mountain said that this is their first time being nominated, and they feel both quite shocked and delighted. They are still processing the good news, and they also thank the public for their blessings and the judges for their kind favor:

Hidden Album is an album dedicated to all the things in life that cannot be spoken of. It is a tribute to the untold chapters of life, and it is also a memorial to those memories that remain in private places, yet stay active deep in the subconscious.”

Ao and Mountain Single Pays Tribute to Chen Mei-hui: A Selfless Blockchain Investigator

In Hidden Album, Ao and Mountain include the single “Miffy.” The song is a tribute to Chen Mei-hui, who tragically passed away in a car accident in December 2024, and Miffy is her English name.

In December 2024, Chen Mei-hui died in a car accident on the national highway. The cases she participated in during her lifetime included the sensational “88 Club Money Laundering Case,” the pursuit of illegal fund flows in “Creative Private,” and the money-laundering methods of “Money Laundering Godfather” Tu Cheng-wen, among others. The cryptocurrency transaction analysis report Chen Mei-hui left behind during her lifetime became a key to Taiwan police cracking a major cross-border fraud case.

Later, the prosecution explained that Chen Mei-hui’s report helped investigators trace and track the money-flow trail, ultimately arresting senior members of the group and seizing more than 1 million Tether tokens and other illegal assets.

The Civil Justice Reform Foundation also revealed that Chen Mei-hui worked at the foundation for 10 years starting in 2013. During that time, she selflessly devoted herself to the rescue efforts for the wrongful convictions of Xu Ziqiang and Chen Jing-kai, and also helped establish the judicial reform digital database. She later took on the role of chairperson of the Taiwan chapter of the Global Anti-Scam Organization (GASO).

When Ao and Mountain released the single “Miffy,” their lead singer Xiao Ao told the media outlet Blow Music that although he had never met Chen Mei-hui, he was still deeply moved by her spirit. The lyrics also convey that even if the process of changing the world is extremely difficult, a glimmer of light seen from time to time is what sustains him.

Guidelines on the application of generative AI in cultural and artistic works previously issued by the Ministry of Culture also pointed out that purely AI-generated results cannot enjoy copyright protection, and it recommends that creators retain prompts and intermediate files to demonstrate human creative input and editing arrangements.
