The first day Trump and Xi Jinping met each other also seemed quite smooth!

U.S. stocks rose sharply all session, Bitcoin hit the $81,000 mark again.
Anyone following along probably feels relieved, sleeping a bit better because the news from the White House sounds quite positive.
As Trump just landed in Beijing, Vice Chairman Han Zheng was already at the airport to greet him, with a guard of honor, a band, and a rather grand red carpet.
However, Xi Jinping did not come to the airport but only greeted him later at the Great Hall of the People.
Many people are speculating that this detail is a trick by China to "undermine" Trump.
Sending someone of lower rank to greet him, but Trump still had to graciously accept!
Regarding Iran and the Strait of Hormuz, the two sides also reached a pretty stable agreement:
keep the strait open, don’t impose random fees.
Xi Jinping also clearly said that the strait should not be militarized.
As for Iran developing nuclear weapons, both sides agree that it’s not allowed, which is also a common point.
The trade part sounds even more positive.
China expressed interest in buying more oil, agricultural products, and possibly even American Boeing airplanes.
Especially, they extended the import licenses for hundreds of American beef processing plants, which must make American farmers very happy.
Xi Jinping also suggested buying more American oil to reduce dependence on the route through Hormuz, which sounds reasonable.
The slightly tense issue is Taiwan.
Xi Jinping mentioned that if the U.S. doesn’t pay attention to Beijing’s demands, the relationship between the two countries could become “extremely dangerous.”
Meanwhile, Trump still invited Xi Jinping to Washington on September 24.
In summary, guys, the first day of their meeting also went smoothly, nothing too big.
Trade talks are easy to handle, but the hardest part remains Taiwan.
Hopefully, the next few days will also go smoothly like this! 😊
