I've been researching the best ways to mine cryptocurrencies from a mobile device, and honestly, there are quite a few interesting options. I was skeptical at first, but after trying out some mining apps, I better understood how they work. Most use your phone's processing power to generate hash rate, even if it's limited compared to professional equipment.
The most popular apps I've found are CryptoTab, which was one of the first to offer this feature. Basically, you install it, activate mining, and it starts automatically. There's also NiceHash, which many recommend for its profitability calculator and security. For cloud mining, StormGain is quite accessible, although it requires restarting every 4 hours. Then there's Bitdeer, preferred by more experienced miners because it provides access to professional facilities. An important exchange also offers cloud mining where you can rent hash rate.
Now, is it worth it? That's where opinions differ. Some say no, because the competition is huge, you need to dedicate about 8 hours a day, and there are scam risks. Others believe it's an easy way to earn some passive income. Honestly, I think it depends on your expectations. If you expect to get rich mining on your iPhone, forget it. But if you're looking for an accessible way to understand how cryptocurrency mining works, mining apps are interesting.
Regarding the easiest cryptocurrencies to mine in 2024, the community mentions Monero, Dogecoin, Vertcoin, and Ravencoin. But also, the electricity cost in your area and the current asset price matter. Speaking of prices, Bitcoin is around 81K, and YFI is approximately 2.7K.
If you decide to try a mining app, the process is quite simple. On Android, choose the app, install it, create an account, verify your identity if needed, set which coin you want to mine, enter your wallet address, and select a pool. Then press start, and you're good to go. On iPhone, it's more complicated because Apple is restrictive, so you usually end up using cloud mining. You rent hash power, link your wallet, choose a plan based on your investment, and start.
One important thing: mining 1 Bitcoin from a smartphone takes a lot of time, averaging 10 minutes of combined power, so you'd need specialized equipment to make it feasible. That's why many prefer cloud mining.
My advice is to do thorough research before deciding. Read each app's policies, check reviews, and don't invest money you can't afford to lose. The future of mobile mining could improve with better hardware and more efficient algorithms, but for now, it's more experimental than profitable. If you have experience with cryptocurrency mining apps, share your opinion in the comments.
