Gold's medium- to long-term bearish trend resumes, with targets directly aiming at the 4300-4400 range
(Author: Old Cat of Juejin)
Looking back at the previous medium- to long-term layout, we held short positions from above 4700 all the way down to 4500, and those who followed along reaped very substantial profits. This wave of medium- to long-term bearish trend has started again, hoping to involve friends who can hold onto their positions, withstand volatility, and have some ammunition. Those who enter a position and send hundreds of messages within a day, with a mindset prone to collapse, need not apply. Medium- to long-term trading requires patience and resilience.
Affected by recent uncertainties such as Trump’s visit to China and the Federal Reserve Chair change, market sentiment has undergone a fundamental reversal, and gold has officially shifted from bullish to bearish. Combining the current four-hour chart analysis, there is heavy resistance above, while the downside has been fully opened, and the medium- to long-term bearish trend has officially begun, with the core target directly aiming at the 4300-4400 range.
From a technical perspective, on the four-hour chart, the price is under pressure below multiple moving averages, with resistance levels layered one after another. Short-term rebounds struggle to break through key resistance levels at 4700, 4670, 4650, etc. Each rebound is an opportunity to add to the short positions. Support below, after breaking the 4660 pivot point, at 4600, 4580, 4548, etc., has become virtually meaningless. As bearish momentum continues to be released, there are no signs of reversal in the downtrend, and the price will gradually move toward lower targets.
For intraday trading, the overall approach is mainly to short at high points, with long positions as a supplement. Focus on catching rebound opportunities to short, and set up short positions in stages at resistance levels, riding the trend.
