Federal Reserve Board Member Milan submitted his resignation on Thursday, for the position of the new Chair Wosheng. Since taking office last year, he has voted against all six meetings he attended—complaining that rate cuts are too slow and too few. Now he supports Wosheng and leaves a suspense: will the Fed's communication and balance sheet policy shift because of this?
On the technical side, after three consecutive bearish daily candles, Bitcoin closed with a huge bullish candle this morning. It fell for three days and then recovered in one day. The upper shadow of the bullish candle is much longer than the lower shadow, indicating weakness in Ethereum again, possibly due to the US-China meeting. So, do not blindly chase the rally; the intra-day strategy remains to mainly short on rebounds!
5.15 Short Position Strategy
Sell Bitcoin at the current price of 81,300-81,800, add positions at 82,300-82,600, with a stop around 83,000. Target around 80k-79,500-79,000. If broken, look at 78,500-78,000-77,500, and continue to move stop-loss accordingly based on the situation!
Sell Ethereum at the current price of 2,290-2,320, add positions at 2,350-2,370, with a stop around 2,400. Target around 2,230-2,200. If broken, look at 2,170-2,150, and continue to move stop-loss accordingly based on the situation!
5.15 Long Position Strategy
Bitcoin retraced to 76,500-77,000, buy one lot, with a stop around 76,000. Target around 78,000-78,500-79,000. If broken, look at 79,500 and around 80k.
Ethereum retraced to 2,170-2,200, buy one lot, with a stop around 2,140. Target around 2,250-2,280. If broken, look at 2,300-2,330-2,350.
Starting to short from last week's high, clearly following a short strategy for several days. The overall trend is very in line with expectations.
