Recently, I've seen everyone watching a certain mainstream public chain's upgrade/maintenance, speculating whether ecological projects will migrate collectively... To be honest, I'm now a bit immune to this kind of "narrative relay race." The cruelest part of the attention economy isn't the amount of information, but that just after you finish researching A, someone pushes B into your face, making you feel like you'll miss out if you don't follow, and in the process of switching back and forth, you pay tuition in fees, slippage, and emotions.

My own simple approach: when a hot topic arises, don't act immediately. First ask yourself, "If the hype dies down in three days, would I still be willing to hold/use this protocol?" and consider the worst-case scenario (pause, upgrade causing issues, bridge problems, liquidity withdrawal). If you can't answer, just pretend you didn't see it. At most, try a small position to experience the process; as long as the cost of stepping into pitfalls is manageable. Anyway, after being cut many times, I found that doing fewer "chases" actually makes the account curve look more like a person.
