The Winklevoss brothers invest $100 million in Gemini exchange

Golden Finance reports that on May 15th, billionaire twin brothers Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, founders of Gemini Space Station Inc., made a $100 million “strategic investment” in this loss-making cryptocurrency exchange.
Winklevoss Capital Fund LLC invested in the New York-based company at a price of $14 per share, with the transaction paid in Bitcoin. The stock closed at $5.26 on Thursday, with a roughly 15% surge in after-hours trading. Over the past year, the stock price has plummeted more than 80%.
