Wu said that Bitwise announced that the Hyperliquid ETF "BHYP" will begin trading on May 15th Eastern Time. The product will offer direct exposure to HYPE spot and utilize Bitwise's self-managed staking model. As of May 13, 2026, Hyperliquid accounts for approximately 60% of the open interest on the global on-chain perpetual contract DEXs and supports a processing capacity of about 200k orders per second.
