U.S. President Visits China | Trump: China Will Purchase 200 Boeing Aircraft
U.S. President Trump said Thursday that China will purchase 200 airplanes from Boeing.
Trump revealed the aircraft order to Fox News, disappointing investors, causing Boeing’s stock price to drop as much as 5.4%, the largest decline in six months.
Wall Street originally expected China to order a larger number of planes from Boeing, with the order quantity more than double what Trump mentioned. Boeing has not commented or confirmed the order.
Trump is conducting a historic visit to China, with members of the accompanying delegation including CEOs from more than a dozen major American companies.
