Nasdaq and S&P 500 indices continue to reach new highs, while the Dow Jones closes above 50,000 points for the first time in three months. Nvidia's total market value reaches $5.71 trillion.
Golden Finance reports that on May 15th, the three major U.S. stock indices all closed higher, with the Nasdaq up 0.88%, the S&P 500 up 0.77%, and the Dow Jones up 0.75%. Among them, the Nasdaq and S&P 500 continued to reach new highs, and the Dow Jones closed above 50,000 points for the first time in three months. Nvidia rose for seven consecutive days, gaining over 4% intraday, reaching a new high with a total market value of $5.71 trillion. Artificial intelligence chip manufacturer Cerebras Systems surged over 68% on its first day of listing. U.S. AI optical connectivity leader POET jumped over 43%. On the news front, the company partnered with optical connectivity infrastructure platform Lumilens to promote wafer-scale photonic integration. Microsoft rose over 1%, Amazon fell over 1%, while Tesla, Google, Apple, Meta, and Netflix saw slight declines.
