American entrepreneurs are full of expectations for China's economy and hope to strengthen cooperation with China.

U.S. President Donald Trump is on a state visit to China. More than a dozen American entrepreneurs are also accompanying him on this trip, coming from fields such as technology, finance, aviation, and agriculture. They said that the successful meeting between the two heads of state has injected new momentum into U.S.-China economic and trade cooperation. They hope to deepen their business in China, expand cooperation with China, and make greater efforts to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries.

Compared with President Trump’s first visit to China in 2017, this time the composition of his business delegation has a higher share of companies in high-tech, finance, and other sectors. So, on this visit to China, what expectations do they have for China’s economic development?

NVIDIA CEO Huang Renxun: I think this is one of the most remarkable economies in the world—strong innovation achievements—and it is also one of the leading countries in the field of artificial intelligence. China is doing very well.

Apple CEO Tim Cook: I think the Chinese market is very strong. I see that the Chinese people have an extremely high enthusiasm for artificial intelligence and new technologies, and they are willing to accept and are actively embracing these new things. I feel very excited about this.

Goer? CEO Jim Anderson: I think China’s economic development prospects are very good. It is an economy with great vitality, and the future looks very promising.

Goldman Sachs Group Chairman and CEO Sud Wei Su: China has set out clear objectives and a grand vision in its “15th Five-Year Plan.” I believe that, with the rollout and implementation of this new round of five-year planning, China will surely continue to achieve greater development and deliver higher economic growth.

American entrepreneurs, when interviewed, said they attach great importance to the Chinese market and hope to strengthen cooperation with China. They believe that, as China’s doors to opening-up continue to widen, American companies in China will have even broader prospects.
