Techub News reports that, according to TechCrunch, Icelandic developer Hermann Haraldsson released an open-source hardware project called Clawdmeter, which can display Claude Code usage statistics in real-time on a desktop dashboard. The device connects to a computer via Bluetooth and presents token consumption data in pixel animation form, reflecting Claude’s deep penetration into the developer community and the rise of “tokenmaxxing” productivity trends. The device is built on the Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-AMOLED-2.16 display, equipped with a lithium battery for power, and can show session and weekly usage charts. Side buttons support Claude Code voice mode and quick switch keys, with a central button used to toggle animations and data views. Haraldsson stated that Claude helped him complete embedded development within days, demonstrating AI’s role in democratizing programming.
