Been looking back at Bitcoin halving patterns and it's wild how consistent the cycle has been. Back in 2016, we saw BTC climb from $650 to $8,800 after that halving. Then 2020 brought us from $8,200 straight to $69K. The multipliers keep shrinking though - 13.5x then 8.5x - so maybe we're looking at something more like 5x this time around? Currently sitting at $81.5K, which would put us somewhere in the $400-500K range if that pattern holds. What's interesting is how the halvings in 2016 started this whole momentum that just kept building. The math gets crazy when you project forward - if we see even a 2.5x bump by 2028, we're talking about Bitcoin potentially hitting six figures per coin by then. Not saying it's guaranteed, but the historical precedent is pretty interesting to track. The intervals between each halving seem to compress the gains though, so expectations might need to adjust. Curious what others think about whether these cycles will keep following the same playbook or if we're entering different territory now.
