I've always felt that the term "energy coding" sounds too mystical. But over the past two months, I have indeed been writing in a completely different way, not coding, but mobilizing my state.
Let me give a specific example.
Last month, I was in a terrible state, staying up late continuously, my mind was like shrouded in fog. I needed a tool that could automatically assess my "mental energy balance" in the morning, then push me three simple tasks—nothing more.
I didn't open an IDE. I sat down, drank a glass of water, played some ambient music, and entered a state of "low power consumption but focused." Then, within that energy field, I described the entire logic in natural language.
It's not writing if-else statements. It's describing: "If I slept less than six hours last night, only display three tasks today, each no longer than fifteen minutes."
An hour later, that little tool was up and running. I use it every morning.
This isn't magic. This is energy coding.
Its core isn't syntax; it's whether your intention is clearly projected. Code is just a byproduct.
I gradually realize that energy coding isn't replacing engineering skills; it's just a different way of invoking them. What truly makes a difference are three things:
First, energy management. You need to know when you're suited to write logic of what complexity. Midnight isn't the time for architectural decisions; it's for fixing small bugs. Energy coding isn't about always rushing; it's about matching your state.
Second, judgment. AI can give you ten implementation options, but only you can pick the one that truly fits the use case. That's taste, not technology.
Third, systemic intuition. Even if you haven't written every line of code, can you close your eyes and tell how this tool interacts with that data source, where it might crash, where it might slow down? If energy coders lack this, what they produce is just a layer of pretty skin.
Now, the problem arises.
Many people treat energy coding as "just move your mouth and software will come out." The result? A bunch of seemingly usable stuff, but no one dares to maintain it. Smooth interfaces, but the backend feels like paper. No safety boundaries, no error handling, no state management.
Energy coding isn't an excuse for laziness. It's about shifting your focus from "how to spell the API" to "whether this feature should even exist."
As for how infrastructure keeps up, I've been looking into @GenLayer's approach recently. Their Intelligent Contracts can reason, not just follow dead logic. This is precisely the backbone that grounds energy coding in the real world. Without this layer, no matter how good your calls sound, things won't run stably.
The next stage, the bottleneck in programming, is no longer whether you can write parentheses.
It's whether you can cleanly transmit your energy state, intention, and judgment to the system.
That thing you've always wanted to do but haven't dared because of "lack of technical skill" might just need the right energy field.
Don't wait any longer. Sit down first, adjust your state, then clarify what you want.
