How much money does it take to be financially free? The answer: it depends on annual expenses.

Using a 4% safe withdrawal rate (withdraw 4% annually, principal remains sustainable):
• First-tier/Regular lifestyle (annual 300,000-400k): 75-400k
• Small city/Low-demand lifestyle (annual 150,000-200k): 40-50 million is enough
• Comfortable + travel + hobbies (annual 500,000-600k): 120-200k
My goal is around 5M. It's not about lying flat, but about having the confidence to "not work if I don't want to."
The essence of financial freedom: passive income ≥ expenses.
Calculate housing, cars, children's education, medical care, travel, etc., and multiply by 25 times—that's the freedom line.
