Vido Energy Group supplies Iraqi crude oil outside the Strait of Hormuz

Odaily Planet Daily reported that, according to foreign media citing insiders, Vitol Energy Group (Vitol) is supplying Iraqi Basra crude oil to its clients, indicating that some cargo may have already successfully left the Persian Gulf.

The sources said that, in the past few days, Vitol has provided crude oil supply to refiners, including Basra medium crude oil and Basra heavy crude oil, delivering it via ship-to-ship transfers in the waters near Fujairah (UAE port). If the transaction is ultimately completed, it would be an extremely rare case since the Strait of Hormuz blockade in which Iraqi crude oil is openly offered in the spot market by traders. (Jin10)
