Is anyone else looking into Chinese crypto projects? I’ve started diving into this topic, and here’s what I found interesting.
NEO is often called China's answer to Ethereum — it's a smart contract platform that receives serious government-level support. They even have two tokens: NEO for governance and GAS for transaction fees. Sounds logical.
VeChain (VET) operates on a completely different level — they focus on supply chain tracking and combating counterfeits. They have serious partners like Walmart and BMW, so this isn’t just theory but real-world cases. Plus, they actively work with ESG and green technologies.
CFX (Conflux) is an interesting case. It’s the fastest Chinese blockchain, processing 3,000 transactions per second, and importantly — it’s the only public blockchain in China that has regulatory approval. It’s clear they’re integrating with traditional business.
Ontology (ONT) focuses on data protection through decentralized identification. They’re used in healthcare and finance sectors. Compatible with Ethereum and Polkadot, which provides more flexibility.
Why even look into Chinese cryptocurrencies? Because after regulatory changes, projects with real utility are starting to emerge there, not just empty promises. These aren’t speculative coins but cryptocurrencies with concrete applications. Government support also plays a role — it can’t help but influence long-term potential.
My advice — don’t focus on just one project. Diversification is important, especially when it comes to Chinese assets. Choose those that solve real problems.
