Recently, I noticed something worth paying attention to in Iran. Iranian President Pezeshkian recently publicly stated that he met with Iran’s Supreme Leader, Khamenei. This appears to be quite an important signal.

Why has this drawn attention? Because this is Khamenei’s rare public appearance since tensions between Iran, the United States, and Israel have escalated. It’s worth noting that information about Khamenei’s activities is usually disclosed quite limitedly, so the public announcement of this meeting by itself already indicates something.

From a geopolitical perspective, Khamenei’s appearance may reflect a shift in the stance of Iran’s leadership amid the current complex situation. In general, public promotion of high-level meetings is not done casually; there are often specific political considerations behind it.

These kinds of geopolitical changes actually indirectly affect global market sentiment. Whenever there are new developments in the Middle East, we can see fluctuations in energy prices, safe-haven assets, and even the crypto market. So, watching the movements of key figures like Khamenei is, to a certain extent, also about observing the potential pressure that global risk assets may face.
