I just saw that Jes Staley, the former head of Barclays, is going through a tough time. Not only does he have to face a divorce lawsuit filed by his wife, but his career is basically over after the scandal related to Jeffrey Epstein. Staley had already resigned from the bank a few years ago, and was then banned from the UK financial industry because of that association.
It's a pretty heavy situation for Jes Staley - dealing with personal legal troubles and a completely ruined reputation in the financial sector. Bloomberg shared the news on X, and honestly, when you see a figure of that level fall like that, you wonder what went wrong. Staley's fall from CEO of one of the UK's major banks to a person banned from the financial system is truly remarkable. It's not the kind of news you'd expect to read, but unfortunately, these things happen.
