Japanese publicly traded company Fisco announces exit from crypto asset business
BlockBeats News, May 14 — Japanese publicly listed company Fisco announced that it will remove “Cryptocurrency Assets & Blockchain Business” from its business segments, and starting from the first quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2026, the report segments will be adjusted from the original “Information Service Business,” “Advertising Agency Business,” and “Cryptocurrency Assets & Blockchain Business” to two segments. At the same time, it has decided to terminate all promotional measures for its own cryptocurrency “Fisco Coin (FSCC)” and cancel the original plan for token burning.
Fisco has been involved in the crypto space since 2016, operating a trading platform and acquiring the Zaif platform. After this comprehensive exit, it will cease FSCC-related payment, staking, and other services, and will no longer develop any value-added or expanded utilization initiatives related to FSCC in the future.
