Yield aggregators with eye-catching APYs that blind you at a glance, honestly I now think in terms of "contracts + counterparties": which pool the money actually went into, where the yield comes from, who has the authority to change parameters, and who takes the blame if something goes wrong. I used to impulsively jump in headfirst, but later I learned my lesson from a strange contract upgrade—when I lost money, I just turned off my computer and went for a walk... No matter how good the form looks, it can't save the contract risk.

There’s also social mining, fan tokens, that set of "attention equals mining" schemes. I find it a bit uncomfortable to listen to—attention is indeed valuable, but most of the time it just feels like they’re packaging liquidity risk differently, everyone’s rushing to ignite it, and in the end, the emotional crowd is the one taking the risk. Anyway, I now prefer to earn less if I can understand what I’m doing.
