These days, a bunch of memes are trending on hot searches again, and the mood in the group chat is like they've been injected with chicken blood. I can't even roll my eyes fast enough... Honestly, I also get itchy hands during times like this, but I'm more afraid of mistaking the "hype" for "certainty." Previously, I saw the economic collapse of blockchain games and it felt almost the same: inflation at its max, studios entering the scene, coin prices spiraling, and in the end, everyone asking "Why did it suddenly go to zero?" Actually, it's not sudden at all.
My current stop-loss approach for memes is very simple: first, figure out the maximum loss I can accept, and if I can accept it, buy with a small position to participate; once it falls below my set line, cut immediately, don’t fall in love with the narrative. More importantly, don’t add to the position to average down—that’s turning "I was wrong" into "I must be right." Anyway, I’d rather earn a little less than hand myself over at the most exciting moment.
