Just read that Konstantin Ignatov finally got released from prison after serving his time for that massive OneCoin fraud. Wild stuff - the guy was basically running the $4 billion scheme after his sister Ruja disappeared back in 2017. He'd already spent 34 months locked up, which matched his sentence, so the judge let him walk in March.

What's crazy is how deep Konstantin Ignatov was in this. Started as his sister's personal assistant during OneCoin's peak, then when she vanished, he became the "de facto leader" of the whole operation. The guy even lied under oath about ditching his laptop in Vegas, which didn't help his case.

The whole OneCoin crew is getting hit hard though. Karl Sebastian Greenwood, the co-founder, got 20 years. Mark Scott, their lawyer, pulled 10 years for laundering $400 million. And Irina Dilkinska from legal/compliance just pleaded guilty too. Konstantin Ignatov had to forfeit $118k and is under supervised release for two years.

Still no sign of Ruja though - she's been on the FBI's most wanted list since disappearing. Some people think a drug lord might've taken her out back in 2018, but honestly who knows at this point. Pretty insane how long this fraud ran before everything unraveled.
